The smooth sides of the Fermonster make it easy to sanitize since there are no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria.  The 6 gallon size is great for most 5 gallon home brewing fermentations! The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center.  These home brewing carboys are made from PET plastic and are nearly unbreakable. Not to mention they are much safer than similar glass carboys.
